AGENDA

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Pecan Hill, Texas will hold a Regular Meeting at the above named date, time and location for the purpose, consideration and action of all items listed below.

1. Identification of a quorum

2. Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Citizens Comments
This is the citizen’s opportunity to make a presentation, ask questions of the City Council, or otherwise be heard at the City Council Meeting. No action will be taken on any matter raised by a citizen, but items suggested for action may be placed on the agenda of a future meeting. Due to the numerous agenda items and limited time for the Council Meeting, each citizen’s comments are limited to a total of three minutes.

4. Consent Agenda
All items listed under the consent agenda are considered to be routine by the City Council and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed below. There will be no separate discussion of these items. If discussion is desired, that item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be considered separately.

A. Approval of Minutes from October 16th, 2017
B. Approval of Financial Reports

5. Discuss and take possible action on Resolution 2018-01-A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PECAN HILL, TEXAS, ORDERING AN ELECTION TO BE HELD ON MAY 5, 2018, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING TWO (2) COUNCILMEMBERS TO THE CITY COUNCIL. ONE FOR PLACE NO. 1, ONE FOR PLACE NO. 2, AND FOR ELECTION OF THE MAYOR, TO HOLD OFFICE FOR A PERIOD OF TWO (2) YEARS; DESIGNATING LOCATION OF POLLING PLACE; ORDERING NOTICES OF ELECTION TO BE GIVEN AS PRESCRIBED BY LAW IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH ELECTION.

6. Consideration and take possible action relative to the May 5, 2018 general municipal election. The City Council will consider and take possible action on accepting certification of unopposed candidates and Ordinance 2018-01 canceling the May 5, 2018 election.

7. Discuss and take possible action on Ordinance 2018-02 approving a tariff authorizing and annual rate review mechanism (“RRM”) as a substitution for the annual interim rate adjustment process.

8. Discuss and take possible action on the “Agreement” between the SPCA and the City of Pecan Hill for “Sheltering” services provided by the SPCA.
